==== University of Colorado Denver Password Policy ====

All data and information resources of the SEHD are subject to University of Colorado Denver password policy, [[http://www.ucdenver.edu/faculty_staff/employees/policies/Policies Library/Admin/fp5-13.pdf|Password Policy]]. Within the policy it describes the following required password criteria:

  - Minimum password length - 8 characters
  - Passwords must contain three of the following:
      - Lowercase alpha
      - Uppercase alpha
      - Number
      - Special character
  - Passwords should be changed every 90 days. There is a grace period of an additional 90 days. If the password reaches an age of 180 days, the account will be frozen.
  - Accounts will be locked after five failed login attempts.
  - Passwords may not be re-used if used during the last twelve (12) password cycles.
